Schaal 1/48 is de meest gebruikte schaal voor vliegtuigmodellen.
Militaire modelbouw op deze schaal is eveneens beschikbaar.
Een model op schaal 1/48 is 48 maal kleiner dan het levensechte voorwerp.
Bijvoorbeeld, een vliegtuigmodel op schaal 1/48 zal 31,25 cm lang zijn als het levensechte voorwerp 15 m is (of 1500 cm).

Stickers kunnen als decoratie op uw vliegtuigmodel worden geplakt.
Om ze op het model aan te brengen, dompelt u de sticker in helder water totdat hij loslaat en brengt u met uw vinger de sticker aan op het model.
Wij raden u aan om over de sticker een laag Sticker FIX van Humbrol (ref HUC6133) aan te brengen.
